In 2015, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, entered into an agreement with the Peace Corps to establish a Peace Corps Recruitment Office to be located on the New Brunswick campus. The Peace Corps Campus Recruiter will work with the Peace Corps Northeast Regional Office to provide information about Peace Corps volunteer service opportunities to Rutgers University and surrounding communities.
Brief Description of Duties: The Rutgers Peace Corps Campus Recruiter (PCCR) will establish a Peace Corps Recruitment Office at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, located in New Brunswick, NJ. Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator at the Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers), and under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Regional Recruitment Office (NRRO), the incumbent will promote overseas volunteerism, increase awareness of Peace Corps and recruit prospective Peace Corps volunteers. The incumbent will identify highly skilled candidates and specialized skill candidates to serve as Peace Corps volunteers. Although this position is based primarily on the New Brunswick campus, the PCCR will be responsible for conducting recruitment activities on the Camden and Newark campuses as well.
